We are seeking a dedicated and passionate History Teacher to join our academic team and inspire students in this essential subject.

Role Summary

The History Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum. The ideal candidate will bring subject expertise, a love for teaching, and the ability to create a classroom environment where students are curious, challenged, and supported to excel.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality History lessons aligned with international curriculum standards (Cambridge IGCSE and/or Lower Secondary)

• Plan and implement creative and inquiry-driven teaching strategies that foster critical thinking and historical awareness

• Guide students in understanding global perspectives, major historical events, civilizations, and their relevance today

• Support students in developing strong research, essay writing, and source analysis skills

• Use a range of multimedia, digital tools, and hands-on learning activities to enrich the classroom experience

• Monitor and assess student progress through assignments, discussions, and assessments

• Provide extra support or tutoring where needed

• Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance cross-curricular links and holistic learning

• Participate actively in staff meetings, school events, and ongoing professional development

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in History, Education, or a related field

• Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience, preferably with Cambridge or international curriculum exposure

• Deep knowledge of global and regional history, historiography, and analytical frameworks

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Ability to adapt teaching styles to diverse learners and use technology effectively

• International school experience is an added advantage
